Deck Pans for Concrete

Deck Pans for Concrete is one of the tools needed in project work. This tool serves to assist in the creation of installing metal concrete so that the building does not collapse quickly. These Deck Pans combine the tensile strength of steel and the compressive strength of concrete to increase construction efficiency and potentially reduce the volume of helpful material covering the area.

Deck Pans for Concrete: What is Pan Decking?

Pan Decking is a corrugated sheet of metal designed explicitly for pouring concrete into the structure above it. Pan pecking is one of the general terms for metal floor decoration with a stay in a place that will support when the concrete has dried.

Pan decking for concrete is indeed prepared to accept concrete. This pan deck was used from the 1940s to the 1960s. However, if we talk about pan decking for concrete, we will refer to composite metal floor decks, commonly called steel decks.

Types Decking Pans of Concrate

There are three well-known types of decking pans for concrete, namely those with a depth of 1.5″, 2″, and 3″. Brands and manufacturers also vary, depending on the project and factory location. The combination of floor deck depth and steel size will determine the strength of the panels and their value. Engineering Floor decking with a greater depth and heavier gauge will be stronger than shallower metal decking or a lower gauge.

  1. Composite Floor Decking B with 1.5-inch Depth
This type of metal floor decking is 1.5″ deep and is often referred to as “B” or “Type B.” This deck is a composite floor decking with the lowest quality or profile and has the shortest span.
  1. Composite Floor Deck 2-inch Depth
This type of deck that has a depth of two inches is often referred to differently by the manufacturer. This 2″ thick deck is often referred to as the W2 Formlok. This deck can withstand thicker concrete slabs and can reach longer distances than the 1.5″ floor deck.
  1. Composite Floor Deck 3 Inch Depth
This type of 3-inch composite floor deck is the deepest. This deck has the most robust metal and can span longer distances. With this deck, you can also pour thicker concrete slabs 1.5 inch or 2-inch floor decks.

How Much Does Pan Decking Cost?

This decking typically costs $2.50 to $5.00 per square foot. The price is also influenced by several factors, such as the type of metal decoration, size, finish, size of the job, and market conditions. Here are some pan decking cost ranges:

  • Size 22 deck weight 1.9 costs $2.50 – $3.25 Per Square Feet
  • Size 20 deck weight 2.3costs $2.75 – $3.75 Per Square Feet
  • Size 18 deck weight 2.9 costs $3.25 – $4.25 Per Square Feet
  • Size 16 deck weight 3.5 costs $4.00 – $5.00 Per Square Feet
