Seattle is undefeated at Starfire Sports Stadium.

 

The Seattle Sounders played three matches at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila in 2005. A local friendly v. the Seattle All Nations Bosnia team on June 17 resulted in a 3-0 Seattle victory. On June 25 the Sounders eliminated the Salinas Valley Samba at Starfire in a hard-fought 3-1 US Open Cup triumph. The culminating match at Starfire came on July 8th as Seattle played Portland on national TV on the Fox Soccer Channel in a USL-1 & Cascadia Cup match. Moved out of Qwest and to Starfire due to conflicts with the Gold Cup soccer series, the match was a cracker that ended 4-2 Sounders before over 3,200 fans. In the 2005 playoffs the Sounders eliminated Portland with a 2-0 win at Starfire, then fell to a 2-2 draw after leading the Montreal Impact 2-0 as late as the 85th minute. The Sounders eventually overcame Montreal and played the 2005 USL-1 final at Qwest Field before over 8,000 fans.
